Join us on Monday 15th September, as we host the book launch of local writer, Steven Parissien’s, new title, Another Round? A Post-War History of Britain in Twelve Drinks. Steven’s new book uncorks contemporary Britain’s relationship with booze in twelve very different drinks. From the 1950’s classic Babycham, to the house party favourite WKD, each drinks tells the story of our drinking habits and of Britain’s history, both at home and on the world stage.
At the launch Steven will be talking more about his book, and we’ll be serving a menu of canapes inspired by the drinks in the book. Plus, you’ll get two drinks on the night too, one before the talk and one after. (Rumours are there’ll be Buckfast too…).
The evening starts at 6pm, and the team from Wallingford Bookshop will be on hand too for those of you keen to pick up a copy of the book and get it signed on the night.
